Birthday/G&G's Visit/Halloween

My parents flew in on my birthday to be here for the weekend that Koen was having his surgery to remove the tumor from his liver. It was such a treat to be able to celebrate my birthday with them since it has been years since we've been together on my birthday! We were in the midst of a major blizzard when they arrived at the airport so it was a little treacherous trying to get to our house. But, they made it and we enjoyed spending time together throughout the weekend!

Bappy Hirthday...thanks, Andrew!

Chloe was almost waist deep in snow!

Showing my parents our lot for our future home.
We are officially under contract and will hopefully begin building toward the end of this month!

Waterton Canyon

A few weeks ago, we had a gorgeous 75+ degree weekend. We were so glad we decided to spend the day outdoors because we were dumped on with snow only days later! My Aunt Mary is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to all things fun! She always has the inside scoop on all the hot spots around town. She told me about Waterton Canyon almost a year ago and we finally were able to venture out there. Although the trail is a 12 mile trek one way into the foothills, we leisurely "Bobbed" it for a few miles, stopping frequently for Chloe to throw rocks into the pristine stream winding through the canyon and to observe the herd big horn sheep wandering around on the trail.

Mueller State Park

Last weekend, we escaped on Sunday afternoon for a drive up into the mountains to enjoy the changing fall colors. We are so glad we went when we did since we've had record breaking lows this weekend! Mueller State Park was a beautiful park full of hiking trails and gorgeous Aspens. There was even a special trail just for kids! As you can see below, I had a lot of fun taking pictures!
