Night Out!

Last weekend, Andrew and I had our first real date since before Chloe was born. Sad, I know! We had SO much fun that we are determined to get several more dates in before #2 comes. Our friends, the Renzelmans, watched Chloe so that we could grab dinner and go to the Sky Sox baseball game (The Sky Sox are a minor league team here in the Springs.). The game wasn't all that, but the entertainment at the park was great! My wild side came out and I actually danced with the fox mascot! I think Andrew was a little jealous!

Chloe's 1st Birthday/Grandparents Visit

Wow! Our little bug turned one on August 12! Her surfer girl birthday party was great fun even though it wasn't warm enough for the kids to play in the pool. We were thankful the rain held off until the party was almost over!

We played tourist again and hauled Grandpa and Grandma all over Colorado Springs to show them our favorite spots. We enjoyed every second of their week here! We wish we all lived closer! Whenever the Shearer family gets together, our camera gets a break for the week. All the pictures in this post are compliments of Grandpa and Grandma...

We braved the windy road up to the top of Pike's Peak. The drive is so beautiful! It actually snowed a little bit while we were at the summit.

Our Little Walkeroo

Chloe started taking her first steps right about when she hit 11 months. Andrew called her our little zombie because she would keep her hands straight out in front of her for balance. Now walking is Chloe's preferred method of transportation. She's adorable toddling all around!
