Amy's Visit

Our friend, Amy Haddock, drove all the way up from The Springs to have dinner with us and to experience a healthy dose of competition playing Settlers of Catan with the mighty, mighty Shearers. The fierce battle that ensued consisted of alliances broken, tears shed (almost!), and harsh words expressed (but no cards or game pieces thrown, wink wink!). Somehow I managed to emerge as the victor. For those of you who have never heard of much less played this game, I highly recommend you getting yourself right on over to a game store and purchasing it ASAP. You won't regret it. You can even play online: http://catanonline.com

Here are some photos of happy faces before my crushing victory:

Phil and I LOVE Settlers! Maybe someday we can play it with you two. It might end in your defeat though. ;) We always tell people that we teach the game to that it is not a relational game. It is VERY fun though. Have you played Seafarers and Cities and Knights? C & K's is my favorite by far!
